General Admission tickets purchased online can be used any day during general daily admission hours and do not have to be used on the day purchased. They cannot be used on special events outside of our general admission hours.

Free Access Programs: Advance online ticketing is not available for the American Horticultural Society's reciprocal admission program, Museums for All, the Adventure Pass Library program and Pineapple Tokens. Please present passes/tokens at the Guest Services kiosk desk upon arrival.

The Giving Tree

Champagne & Chocolate promises and evening of fun, yet its success is incredibly important in helping the Garden carry out its mission through a wide variety of programming. In addition to your ticket purchase, add some extra sparkle to the night with the purchase of a box from The Giving Tree presented by Josephs Jewelers.

Pre-purchase your box to show your support and ensure a box will be waiting for you. Each box contains a gift - three contain something special from Josephs Jewelers! There will be many more guests than gifts. Pre-purchase now and select your box(es) upon arrival. Each box is $50.

Music in the Garden

Music in the Garden
Presented by Hy-Vee

Join us in the picturesque Koehn Garden for our beloved Music in the Garden concert series! Buy your tickets in advance for single concerts, or purchase a season pass for all concerts. The richly planted walled setting of the celebration lawn is a one-of-a-kind backdrop for local and regional musical acts to perform.

Click here to purchase a season pass. New this year, a season pass includes tickets to all concerts in the 2025 season at a discounted price, plus early entry so you can pick your preferred seats!

Music starts at 6:30 pm. General entry starts at 6:00 pm. Season Pass, Garden Giving Club, and member with pre-purchased ticket entry starts at 5:30 pm.

June 5 - RetroSpect
Professional musicians perform a celebration of pop, rock and R&B hits from the 70s to today to make you sway, dance and sing along!

June 12 - Surf Zombies
Surf instrumental group from Iowa that has opened for Dick Dale twice and were featured in the Surf Guitar 101 Festival in Long Beach, CA. They are tons of summer fun!

June 19 - Son Peruchos
Using traditional instruments from Latin America, Son Peruchos plays a mix of Latin American and Caribbean music.

Rescheduled: July 1 - June Bugs
A Des Moines cover band highlighting women in the music industry by featuring songs written and/or performed by women.

July 3 - Weary Ramblers
The newly formed Iowa folk duo, Weary Ramblers, bring multi-instrumental performances, tight harmonies, great storytelling years of experience to the stage with award-winning songwriting and chemistry.

July 10 - NOLA Jazz
NOLA Jazz varies from its full 7-piece band to its smaller combos – all led by band leader and jazz clarinet player/vocalist Jeff Kane.

July 17 - Flash in a Pan
Flash in a Pan is a string band from Iowa City playing original and traditional bluegrass, folk, and old-time music.

July 31 - Mango Soul
Refreshing R&B/Funk fusion ensemble that brings the energy! Perfect for fans of Vulfpeck, Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder.

"Irish Music for the Iowish People!" This is the motto of the Des Moines based Irish folk band known as The Crowfoot Rakes.

August 7 - Diplomats of Solid Sound
Diplomats of Solid Sound is an American band and songwriting powerhouse featuring a mixture of old school funk, soul, and Americana.
